Psychotherapy in Dublin

Welcome! I’m Dorine, a licensed psychotherapist based in Dublin. I am deeply committed to supporting people through some of life’s toughest journeys and helping them build a healthier, more fulfilling life.

I trained in the United States as a marriage and family therapist and have extensive

experience supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. I am now also an accredited psychotherapist with the IACP in Ireland and have completed specialised training in Eating disorders, EMDR, Safe and Sound protocol, and therapeutic play, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.

My work focuses on supporting individuals and families who are dealing with trauma, addiction, and eating disorders (or supporting someone who is dealing with these heavy issues). I also work with individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, major life changes, relationship difficulties, grief, people-pleasing patterns, and the effects of childhood trauma.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • My fees are €80 for an individual session and €120 for a couple/family session.
I offer a free 15 minute introductory call for new clients.

  • This is completely individual. The goal in therapy is to help you to feel well enough to not need sessions as frequently over time. Usually, one would start with once-a-week sessions and reduce to once a month or once every six weeks as an emotional check-up once they have started to feel better.

  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes long.

Couple and family sessions are one hour and fifteen minutes long.

  • This is a chance for you and me to meet and see if we are a good match. Not every therapist and client is a right fit, and that's okay. If we decide not to work together, I will do my best to refer you to someone who may be able to help.

  • I am on the registers of a couple of private insurances, which I hope will make therapy more accessible: Laya, Irish Life Health, and VHI

(Please check your insurance policy to make sure it covers Psychologist/ Counsellor / Psychotherapist services before booking)

  •  Yes. I offer online, in-person, and hybrid sessions (a combination of online and in-person).
